Originally two separate structures, a joined front terrace and a converted rear stable, the site lacked connection. A covered glazed walkway now links the buildings, acting as a luminous spine that unifies old and new. By day, natural light filters through the corridor; by night, it glows softly within the site.

Organised around a central courtyard anchored by an established olive tree, the home draws daylight deep into both buildings, creating a private inner-city oasis. Communal spaces are open and light-filled, while more passive zones are layered with softer, controlled illumination.

Textured materials and a darker natural palette enhance the play of light and shadow, allowing the architecture to evolve throughout the day, and over time.
